Hi, I’m Ainsley.

I’m the founder and Principal Designer of Ainsley Wallace Interiors—a nonprofit-CEO-turned-designer, real estate investor, and lifelong explorer of how place shapes the way we live, work, and connect.

I’ve always been obsessed with stories—telling them, listening deeply, and helping people find their footing when the plot twists. Design, for me, is another form of storytelling. The spaces we inhabit are not just backdrops, but active characters in our lives.

At Ainsley Wallace Interiors, I offer full-service design rooted in both the principles of neuroaesthetics and the lived experience of creating environments that support bold, meaningful lives. My clients are often stepping into new personal or professional chapters and want spaces that feel aligned with who they are becoming. Together, we create homes and workplaces that deliver clarity, ease, and resonance. Spaces that work functionally, emotionally, even spiritually. Spaces that simply feel good.

Before launching this studio, I spent nearly a decade leading a high-impact nonprofit, raising millions to transform an urban university serving a largely first-generation student body. That work cemented my belief that the quality of our environments—whether classrooms, campuses, or homes—shapes both our aspirations and our lives.

I’ve also renovated homes while raising a child, invested in affordable housing, and designed and managed short-term rentals. Most recently, I moved our family to a quirky island off the coast of Maine and spent a summer in Lisbon, Portugal. Each chapter has taught me that environment is everything: it shapes how we show up, how we connect, and how we grow.

That same blend of strategy, structure, and care now forms the backbone of my design work. Call it beauty with a backbone: spaces that not only look extraordinary but also serve the deeper rhythms of your life.

We all have stories to tell. It’s an honor to be invited into yours. Let’s design a space that honors who you are and opens the door to who you’re becoming.
